FORUM Celebrates Money Smart Week and International Credit Union Day
Indianapolis, Indiana, October 12, 2010 – FORUM Credit Union will be participating in Indiana’s fifth annual Money Smart Week in October. Money Smart Week was designed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to aid consumers in learning how to better manage their personal finances. Various credit unions and banks throughout Indiana will be hosting events and offering activities that encourage financial literacy, the benefits of saving, and goal setting.
FORUM will be celebrating Money Smart Week at all FORUM Branch locations the week of October 18 through October 22. Monday, October 18 is designated as Free Credit Check Day. Members and non-members can receive a free credit check and analysis. For Tuesday, October 19 a Branch Representative will be available to sit with members and non-members and go through a comprehensive budgeting worksheet. On Savings Day, Wednesday, October 20, members can receive $5 when they open a Weekly 5 Club, CommonCents, Sprout, or Santa Savings Account. Thursday, October 21 is International Credit Union Day, a day to come in and find out about the credit union difference. Friday, October 22 is Kids Day. There will be candy, activities, and information on FORUM’s Aware Kids and Teens Accounts.
