FORUM Credit Union Now Offers FHA Loans
Indianapolis, Indiana, September 12, 2008 – FORUM Credit Union, the eighth largest mortgage lender in Indianapolis, now offers FHA mortgages, which are insured by an agency of the federal government.
FHA loans allow buyers to purchase a home with a down payment of as little as 3 percent, and that money can come from a family member, employer, or a charitable organization unlike other loans. Because FHA insures the mortgage, there are more flexible credit guidelines than most conventional loans, making it is easier for borrowers who have had credit problems in the past, such as bankruptcy, to qualify. Also, FHA loans have competitive interest rates because they are insured by the federal government.
“We are excited about the opportunity to provide FHA loans to our members. Helping buyers get into their very first home expands upon our credit union philosophy of helping people,” says Blake Dearing, FORUM’s Mortgage Sales Manager.
The FHA product rounds out FORUM’s suite of mortgage product offerings that includes most all types of mortgage options including the popular construction loan program. FORUM is committed to being one of the top mortgage lenders in the greater Indianapolis area. Working with members, realtors, and brokers, FORUM provides a unique lending experience from start to finish.
