FORUM Solutions Wins TechPoint Mira Award

Indianapolis, Indiana, May 20, 2009 - FORUM Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of FORUM Credit Union, was awarded Excellence in Corporate IT at the 2009 Mira Awards in Indianapolis.  The TechPoint Mira Awards honors Indiana businesses, schools and universities, and individuals for their contributions to the state’s technology-related economy. TechPoint’s prestigious Mira Awards program recognizes leaders and innovators in 11 different business categories, including two new categories—Healthcare IT Innovation and Excellence in Corporate IT.

“This Mira Award is very special to us as we are honored to be recognized among so many Hoosier entrepreneurs making a difference here in the State of Indiana.  While we do operate in a corporate environment, we like to think of ourselves as intrapreneurs,” said Doug True President of FORUM Solutions and Senior Vice President of Technovation at FORUM Credit Union.  “We appreciate the recognition and have a great deal of respect for everyone who was honored at the event.”

FORUM Solutions’ accomplishments in 2008 which led to receiving the award included the sale of its internally developed consumer loan origination software solution called TAPS® Lending, the upgrade to FORUM’s communication infrastructure, and the launch of new product offerings for the benefit of the credit union’s membership.
