FORUM Introduces SaveItUp Challenge 2010
Indianapolis, Indiana, March 22, 2010 –FORUM Credit Union has introduced its revamped version of the SaveItUp Challenge, a program to encourage better saving and spending habits. Participants are entered to win once they enroll in the program, complete four out of seven financial steps, and set and meet at least one goal. The financial steps include items like completing a budgeting worksheet, reviewing a free credit report, and submitting a personal savings story for FORUM’s website. Three goal categories are offered: Savings, Debt Reduction, and Financial Education. By completing these goals, participants are entered to win $3,000 for the Savings goal, $3,000 for the Debt Reduction goal, and $1,500 for the Financial Education goal. To help participants during the program, Financial Accountability Partners are available at every FORUM Branch location.
FORUM is also offering a “SaveItUp Mini-Challenge Day” each month of the program. The SaveItUp Mini-Challenge in February encouraged members to deposit and save their change. Whoever deposited the most change at FORUM’s Coin Machines won $25, with 1 winner for each branch location. Other Mini-Challenges will focus on debt reduction and financial education.
Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University classes will also be available at several FORUM Branch locations this year. Dave Ramsey, a money management expert and popular national radio personality, created Financial Peace University – a program that teaches people how to make the right decisions with their money. Locations and dates for these classes can be found on FORUM’s website.
The SaveItUp Challenge is open to FORUM Credit Union members and non-members and runs from January 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010. New to this year’s Challenge is an online enrollment form found at www.SaveItUpChallenge.com.
