FORUM Credit Union Introduces New Checking Account
Indianapolis, Indiana, November 29, 2012- FORUM Credit Union introduces a new checking account, YOUR checking. This new checking product is designed around the spirit of a credit union acting as a financial cooperative by rewarding members for doing more with their credit union.
The checking account, which became available in November, is FORUM’s sole checking account and allows account holders to use it in ways unique to their specific wants and needs. The account features no monthly fees, no minimum balance, free online banking, and more.
In addition to the free account, members also have the opportunity to earn rewards and take advantage of additional services. Account holders can earn credits based on their account activity that they can redeem for points each month. Members can earn rewards for loan balances, savings balances, and the length of their membership. They also have the option to choose how they would like to receive their monthly rewards. Points can be redeemed to receive a dividend rate, be deposited as cash, or be banked to offset any incurred fees.
“FORUM’s YOUR checking product is based upon the cooperative principles that are at the foundation of the credit union movement,” said Andy Mattingly, FORUM's Chief Operating Officer. “We really feel that we are setting ourselves apart in a tangible manner from other financial institutions by rewarding those members who choose to do their business with the credit union.”
