FORUM Credit Union Introduces “SaveItUp” Program
-- Launch of new campaign that challenges people to save money --
Indianapolis, Indiana, February 2, 2009 - FORUM Credit Union announces the launch of a new program designed to encourage people to save money, change their spending habits, and become better money managers. The SaveItUp Program challenges participants to complete items within 5 different categories including budget, thrift, savvy, goals, and education. An example under the “budget” category is to “create a realistic budget to help identify areas where you need to make a change.” By completing items like this, participants are entered to win up to $5,000.
“We recognize that people are struggling to save money. Americans as a whole are spending more than they earn. It is our responsibility as a credit union to help our members and the community with their financial life. The SaveItUp Program encourages them to make a real change to improve their financial well-being,” says C. Andrew Mattingly, Senior Vice President with FORUM Credit Union.
SaveItUp participants will have access to tools and information through the SaveItUp website www.saveitupchallenge.com that will help them through the challenge. Tools included on the website are budget worksheets, savings blogs, and articles and resources from best-selling author and nationally syndicated radio show host Dave Ramsey. The website will also feature SaveItUp participants sharing their stories and challenges as they take part in the program.
The SaveItUp Challenge is open to FORUM Credit Union members and non-members and runs from February 1, 2009 through October 31, 2009.
