Money Saving Gas Tips

As gas prices continue to rise, you might be wondering what you can do to save money other than not driving at all. While there isn’t one tip that can conserve a lot of gas, short of buying a more fuel efficient vehicle, utilizing several of these tips can help you cut back on gas-usage.

·         Avoid rapid acceleration and rapid breaking

·         Remove items from your trunk to decrease weight

·         Turn down/off the air conditioner

·         Avoid idling by selecting a different route

·         Combine errands and trips

·         If you have 2 vehicles, utilize the one with better gas mileage

·         Use cruise control

·         Choose a different commute time to avoid traffic/idling

·         Carpool, take public transportation, walk or bike if possible

·         Decrease your speed
