What better way to give your teen a bright start than encouraging early entrepreneurial skills! FORUM understands the importance of the entrepreneurial spirit and the impact it can have on a person’s life. That’s why we created the Bright Start program. It is designed to promote entrepreneurial skills for teens across Central Indiana. Here’s a peak at the program!
- Teaches responsibility
- Promotes financial independence
- Improves communication skills
- Inspires self-esteem
Regardless of whether you’re already running a business or if you have an idea you hope to one day carry out, we’re excited to hear about what you’ve been up to! When you submit your idea, you’ll be entered to win $250! The contest runs from May 1 – May 31, 2016 and is open to entrepreneurs ages 13-19 who are either FORUM members or students at a partner school of FORUM. *
With the help of an adult, young entrepreneurs can choose one of three options to submit their idea!
Submit a two-minute video explaining your current business and what you’ve learned from the experience. Upload the video to your personal YouTube Channel, and then send the URL to email@example.com
Post a photo of your business to Instagram with an explanation of the image. Use hash tag #FORUMBrightStart.
Email your sample business plan describing your concept to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All submissions must include a written response to the question, “How would winning the grand prize of $250 help you live your financial dreams?”
to enter and find helpful business resources.
