52 Week Money Challenge

Financial concerns can be one of life’s biggest stressors for a lot of people, but did you know that saving money could actually help reduce your stress and improve your health? * Saving money can be simple, too. FORUM offers a 52 Week Money Challenge that is an easy incremental savings plan.
You’ll save money throughout the year and you’ll start by saving just one dollar the first week. Then, you’ll put away an additional dollar each week. That means your largest deposit would only be $52! By following the plan, you’ll save $1,378 in one year. Plus, you’ll earn a competitive dividend rate along the way. You even have the chance to double your money! When you deposit 50 out of the 52 weeks and you save at least $1,378, you’ll be entered to win $1,378. **
In the current 2015 Money Challenge, FORUM members have saved a total of $350,330! To enroll in next year’s challenge, click here. Time is ticking though! You must sign up for next year’s challenge by December 31, 2015. Once you have enrolled, your account will be automatically opened and ready for deposits on the week of January 4, 2016.
Here are a few helpful tips to make this Challenge work for you.
  • Schedule transfers for each weekly deposit within CU Online.
  • Create custom alerts via text or email to notify you of automatic transfers and balances.
  • Work backwards and start the program by making the largest deposit of $52 first.
  • Instead of incremental savings, deposit the same amount each week ($26.50) if that is easier for you.
There’s no time like the present to reduce stress and start saving money! For more details, click here.
** See official rules for full contest details.
*** Penalty for early withdrawal and/or closure fee is $15. Members are permitted to one withdrawal free of penalty charges per year after the first 52 weeks.
