FORUM Foundation Announces 2015-2016 Educator Grant Recipients

Indianapolis, Indiana, November 23, 2015- FORUM Credit Union is proud to announce the FORUM Foundation has awarded more than $25,000 to 15 educator grant recipients for the 2015-2016 school year.

The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through educator grants and collegiate scholarships.  The grants are eligible for teachers who are FORUM members or work for a partnering school district.

Since the Foundation began in 2014, FORUM has awarded nearly $51,000 in grants throughout 21 partner schools around central Indiana.  This year, over 215 applicants applied and nearly $430,000 in grant requests were submitted. Projects funded included guided reading sets, math manipulatives, a recording studio for morning announcements, and miscellaneous physical education equipment.

This year’s grant recipients include:  Vicki Ayers- Benson- North Central High School, Kelsey Buckley- Zionsville Middle School, Bill Buckman- Carmel Clay Middle School, Josh Cecil- Noblesville High School, Ashley Connor- Sunnyside Elementary, Marinda Grove- Abraham Lincoln Elementary, Maureen Hoffman- Wehmeier- Greenwood Middle School, Colleen Ireland- Geist Elementary, Adam Jahn- Fall Creek Intermediate, Kim King- Center Grove Elementary, Jeremy Large- New Palestine High School, Christine Miller- Shamrock Springs Elementary, Barbra Nichols- New Augusta North Public Academy, Alexandra Tubbs- Thompson Crossing Elementary, Kim Ward- IPS School #19.
