FORUM Credit Union Begins 75th Anniversary Celebration

Thursday, February 04, 2016

FORUM Credit Union will celebrate its 75th Anniversary on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. In honor of this milestone, FORUM will be holding a variety of special offers, branch activities, and contests throughout the year.

FORUM was founded in 1941 as Hoosier Federal Credit Union and served as a financial institution for the workers of Indiana Bell Telephone Company. The credit union’s name was officially changed on May 1, 2000 from Telco Credit Union to FORUM Credit Union. FORUM is available to people who live or work in central Indiana or who work for a company that offers FORUM as a benefit to its employees. Over the years, FORUM has grown into a not-for-profit financial service cooperative that serves more than 120,000 members. FORUM has 13 branch locations in the Indianapolis area as well as online and mobile banking technology.

“The Credit Union began with just volunteers, and that same volunteer spirit still exists today as we strive to help our members live their financial dreams,” said Doug True, CEO of FORUM Credit Union. “Our success has been possible thanks to our loyal members, talented employees, and dedicated volunteers.”

As part of this year’s festivities, all branch locations will have a monthly celebration day, which will feature giveaways and entry contests. Each location will also have a Member Appreciation Day on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 with additional contests and account specials. FORUM is also commemorating the anniversary with various online giveaways. This promotion will feature a prize giveaway each month and give participants the chance to enter to win gift cards, an Apple® iPod, an Amazon Kindle Fire, Bluetooth Soundbar, Fitbit Activity Trackers, Apple® iPads, and a 75” Smart TV.  For more information on FORUM’s anniversary celebration, please visit
