FORUM Credit Union Holds First Young Leaders Council Meeting

Thursday, August 25, 2016

The Young Leaders Council is an opportunity for young professionals to gain leadership experience, professional development training, and personal finance assistance, while also contributing to the success of FORUM Credit Union. The Young Leaders Council was developed to help FORUM with its youth programming while also bringing valuable perspectives to the credit union.

The meeting allowed fourteen young leaders from the Indianapolis area the opportunity to connect, collaborate and strategize in preparation for the future of the council as well as FORUM Credit Union. During the meeting, the council learned more about its purpose and discussed the goals and logistics of the Young Leaders Council.

Future Young Leaders Council meetings will include some of the following topics:

  • Budgeting
  • Student loans
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Building credit
  • Networking opportunities

The Young Leaders Council is open to any young professionals in the community, ages 17-24 and the council will meet bi-annually. The next meeting will take place in December.
