FORUM Credit Union is proud to honor Jeff Welch as Indiana Business Journal’s 2017 Chief Financial Officer of the Year.
Each year the Indiana Business Journal recognizes top financial executives in Indiana companies, government agencies, and not-for-profits who play a major role in their workplace. Welch, a not-for-profit honoree, was selected among the top leaders in Indiana this year.
With an early passion for becoming an accountant, Welch studied accounting and went on to earn his MBA from Anderson University. “Making everything balance; I’m loving life when that happens,” says Welch. A greater love for the financial industry became clear during his first job at Meadows Credit Union in Illinois, where he quickly advanced to Controller. Welch’s first job allowed him to excel further in the field, becoming Vice President of Finance at Arsenal Credit Union in St. Louis before landing at FORUM Credit Union.
Now nearing 20 years with FORUM, Welch has helped grow membership, assets, and loan balances exponentially. He is involved in the communities of Carmel and Fishers, and enjoys spending his time with family.
