There are many organizations and corporations pushing for more financial education in schools. Many students are leaving school with no basic understanding of money management. Hard to believe that in just a few short weeks, school will be starting again. Every year growing up my parents did “back to school” shopping for all 4 of us kids. I can’t imagine the money they spent. Some kids have to spend their own money on clothes paid for by a part-time or summer job. So, here are some tips for you and/or your parents on saving money on back to school shopping.

You can learn a lot from your Grandparents just by observing. My Grandparents never sat me down and talked to me about money, but they didn’t have to; I could see the smart decisions they made. Here are just a couple of “old school” money concepts straight out of the 30s and 40s.
