Hi everyone!  With summer time here, I'm sure a lot of you have summer jobs lined up or you're already working.  Have you thought about how you will use the money you earn this summer?  I know when I was in high school, I spent my summer job money on gas for my car, eating out with friends, going to movies, etc.  I also saved part of my money to use for college.  It can be helpful to create a simple budget so you know where all of your hard earned money is going.  First, write down all of your expenses.  Here are some examples:

• Gas Money
• Entertainment (eating out, movies, etc.)
• Cell Phone Bill
• Car Insurance/Car Payment
• Clothing

Then, write down how much money you will spend on each item.  Total your expenses and then subtract the total from how much you'll earn each month.  Hopefully you'll have a decent amount of money left over to save.
