It has always been worth the cost but in these economic times, the value of a sound financial plan is probably even more valuable.  Good planners are communicating with you regularly and keeping you updated on your progress along the plan that was developed.  Here is what a financial plan can help you in the following areas:·         Develop a tax strategy·         Develop an investment portfolio mix·         Protect the your accumulation of assets·         Identify a realistic estimate of retirement spending needs·         Provide direction for disbursement of your assets The end result of a good financial plan is a roadmap for your financial success.  There may be bumps and detours along the way but if you know where you are going it is much easier to make adjustments than if you are aimlessly planning.  So, the answer is Yes, a financial plan is very much worth the cost.
