With fall right around the corner and less time spent outside, you may be thinking of redecorating a room in your home. Redecorating can get pretty expensive, but there are ways to combat those costs if you stick to a few guidelines...
First. Decide what you want to achieve with your decorating project. What room will you be working on? What color scheme will you choose?
Second. Create a budget and stick to it. It will be much easier to say no to additional items down the road if you have a budget in place.
Third. Have a garage sale or use eBay to sell off clutter that won't fit in with your redecorated room's new decor.
Fourth. Take a look at items you already have around the house and see if anything would fit nicely in your remodeled room.
Fifth. Shop garage sales and flea markets and look for items that may fit well with your new room's furnishings. Remember, you can always paint an item to make the color work in your redecorated room.
Sixth. You might be craftier than you think. Try making your own wall decorations. Blow up that artsy photograph you love and frame it.
