Blogs have been around for a long time, even the unofficial spokesperson blog has been active for almost a year. So why did I title this post as something new? Because we are now going to commit full time to using this blog to keep our USPs and our members up to date on what is happening with FORUM, what we are thinking and what we see in the future. Several different individuals will be posting to this blog as well as special guest writers when needed. To make this blog useful though, we need your feedback and comments. Comment on our blog posts, send us emails with questions and generally try to help us achieve our goal of giving our members a voice. I can’t promise you that every post will be of interest to you. I can promise you that we will attempt to cover as many topics regarding issues that impact our members as we can. Sometimes we will post educational topics, such as what is a Regulation D transfer, or news about a new account, or a tip about how to avoid a fee or something else useful. We also will share stories about other members or how you can refer new members to the credit union. You see, this new blog will not just be geared to unofficial spokespersons…it will become the unofficial news source for what is happening at FORUM and how it affects you the member. I hope you will set this blog up as an RSS feed and keep a tab on what we are saying and I also strongly hope that you will comment, positive or negative on the posts we write. There will be several posts these first couple of weeks as we have a lot of news to share on what is happening at FORUM.
If you are already a member, thanks for being a member and we look forward to meeting your needs in 2009. If you are not a member, think about finding out how FORUM can make a difference to you. You do belong here too and 2009 is the time to make the change.
