We have received the list of card numbers whose data seems to have been compromised during Heartland's security breach. All of these card numbers were in the original list of cards that had performed a transaction at a retailer using Heartland Payment Systems. We will be reissuing the cards that have been identified in this compromised data list. Members whose cards are being reissued will receive a letter notification the week of 2/2/09 with specific dates on when the new card will arrive and when the existing card will be blocked. As reminder our first notice was to all members who had performed a transaction with a Heartland Payment Systems retailer. The upcoming notification will only be to those members whose card data has been compromised. This does not indicate that any fraudulent activity has taken place on these card numbers, just that the card information was compromised. Please continue to monitor your account and report any suspicious activity promptly.
