Did you know you could be entered to win up to $5,000 in FORUM's Save In Up Challenge? In an effort to support our members with learning new savings techniques, FORUM has designed a program where members can earn points for participating in various savings activities and behaviors. There is a Save It Up 2009 link off the FORUM CU home page that is dedicated to information on the challenge, a Save It Up blog, columns from Dave Ramsey a personal money management expert and Financial Peace University. Take a moment today to check it out.I recently met with two USP's - Sandy and John at the Noblesville branch to take the Save It Up Challenge. We reviewed together their budget, credit reports, approach to saving and financial goals they have set and accomplished. They have been disciplined savers their entire lives, always kept an eye on their credit report, and took advantage of good deals when making small and large purchases. As a result they are living out their retirement years in "financial peace" not having to worry about how to cover any cost that comes their way. It was a very rewarding to discuss how participating in the right financial behaviors truly sets the stage for a lifetime of financial freedom. I highly recommend all USP's coming in a branch and meeting with a FORUM representative to find out about and take the challenge. In fact, Sandy and John told their good friends Jean and Jason to come in and see me about becoming members and hearing about the savings challenge. Sure enough the next day I had the pleasure of meeting them where they became FORUM members and are now participating in our Weekly Five program to help meet their savings goals. Thank You John and Sandy for sending them my way!!
FORUM appreciates all the ongoing support and suggestions from our great USP's. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
