Because we live in a fast paced world, people expect information at their fingertips as quickly as possible. Lately our members have been making the suggestion that our overdraft and NSF notices were just not timely enough for this fast paced world. In an effort to keep up with the breakneck pace of today, we are implementing electronic delivery of all overdraft or NSF notices effective today. Members on CU Online will receive an alert plus notification within CU Online when they log in. Members who don’t currently use CU Online will receive an automated phone call directing them to dial into Tellerphone to receive important information about their account.
All of this will happen one or two days quicker than the postal notices were being received. This insures if you have a problem on your account, you can more quickly respond and fix the situation. It is also an early fraud detection system because unexpected NSF’s or overdrafts could be a signal an account has fraudulent activity. The quicker you respond to the situation the less difficult the situation will become. It is also a chance for members to avoid additional fees because of one mistake.
