FORUM is hosting Financial Peace University classes at the Noblesville and Greenwood locations.  I have the privilege of facilitating the class at our Greenwood location along with one of the credit unions Branch Managers.  This is a rewarding experience, as I have the opportunity to see how creating a financial plan can dramatically change your life, helping you to reduce debt and save more.  However, an even more rewarding experience is to get an opportunity to help educate someone in their teenage years, so they start practicing good financial habits at a young age.

Three of our FPU attendees have brought their children to the classes with them, two of them are teenagers, and one elementary school age.  These FPU attendees understand how important it is to educate their children to manage money responsibly and to create a plan to beat debt and build wealth.

I challenge you all to do the same with your children or grandchildren.  Teach them to manage money at a young age.  There is a great article on Dave Ramsey’s website here.  That article would be great to share with your children.  www.studentsurvival.com is also a great resource for young people.
