FORUM Credit Union welcomes Christopher Hagenow, who was appointed in May, as its newest board member.
Chris Hagenow began his legal career in 1992. He joined Hopper Blackwell in 2003 with experience in Litigation, Business Transactions and Commercial Litigation. He became the managing partner of Hopper Blackwell in 2012. His practice is focused on all aspects of business law, banking, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation. Chris has the highest professional rating (AV) by Martindale Hubbell.
Chris has also been involved in a vast array of organizations and has held several positions within these groups. He was a Past State Chair for the Indiana State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section as well as a Past Chair of the ISBA Judicial Reception. He holds the honor of an Indianapolis Bar Foundation Distinguished Fellow and he received the Indianapolis Bar Association Young Lawyer Award in 2001. Outside of the legal arena, Chris was a past President for the Moorings Owners Association. Currently, he is a Lector and volunteer basketball coach for St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church.
Chris received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in 1989 as well as a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1992.
Chris comments on why he wanted to join the FORUM Board of Directors, “With my experience in working with various financial institutions and businesses, I saw this as an opportunity to work with and guide FORUM’s executive team especially through these continuing challenging economic times. FORUM is one of the most prominent financial institutions in Central Indiana, and I recognize the importance for locally based businesses to do well in order to support economic development in Indiana.”
