FORUM Foundation

The FORUM Credit Union Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the communities we serve by enhancing youth educational opportunities. Educator grants and collegiate scholarships available to FORUM members embody the Credit Union’s cooperative spirit and improve the communities we serve through increased educational opportunities and experiences.

The Foundation awards up to seven, $5,000 collegiate scholarships annually and designates $25,000 annually in educator grants ($2,500 maximum grant per educator). The collegiate scholarships are eligible for renewal, up to four years, allowing recipients the potential to receive $20,000 over the course of their four-year collegiate experience.

Who’s Eligible to Apply for Collegiate Scholarships?

  • Members between the ages of 17 and 24.
  • Members with a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Members intending to study full-time (minimum of twelve (12) credit hours) at an accredited college or university in a two or four year undergraduate degree program, for the fall semester.
  • FORUM Credit Union members in good standing with your FORUM Credit Union account opening date no less than one-year prior to the time of application. Or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member in good standing with their FORUM Credit Union account opening date no less than one-year prior to the time of application.
  • Members who are a U.S. citizen.

Who’s Eligible to Apply for Educator Grants?

  • FORUM Credit Union members in good standing with their FORUM account opening date no less than one-year prior to the time of application. Or, the applicant must be employed as a teacher at a school corporation that has a written or oral agreement with FORUM Credit Union.
  • Teachers must return the signed consent form.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
The educator grant application for the 2015-2016 academic year will be available May 2015.
