Foundation Announces 2017-2018 Educator Grant Recipients

FORUM Credit Union is pleased to announce that the FORUM Foundation has awarded nearly $25,000 to 17 educators throughout central Indiana for the 2017-2018 school year.
The Foundation was established to strengthen the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through both collegiate scholarships and educator grants. Educator grants are available to teachers who are FORUM members and to those who work for a partnering school district.
In its four years as an organization, the FORUM Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants to more than 25 school districts throughout central Indiana, helping more than 15,000 students.  This year, the Foundation received applications from just under 150 educators requesting nearly $400,000 for educational tools from several disciplines including STEM, literacy, art, music, and physical education. 
The recipients of the 2017-2018 FORUM Foundation educator grants include: 
Chris Atkinson, Cherry Tree Elementary School; Andrew Brinkman, North Central High School; Michelle Campbell, Holy Angels Catholic School; Sarah Cannon, Eastridge Elementary School; Courtney Chamberlin, North Elementary School; Kristen Fern, IPS SUPER School #19; Miranda Fikes, Rosa Parks Kindergarten Academy; Kurt Freytag, Lawrence Central High School; Todd Hagemeier, Westfield Middle School; Greg McCord, HSE Junior High School; Kevin Morse, Westfield High School; Amber Ploutz, V.O. ISOM Elementary School; Jennifer Spoor, Reagan Elementary School; Amanda Stinnett, Pleasant Crossing Elementary School; Leah Trigg, Avon High School; Dawn Walker-Seyerle, Arsenal Tech High School; Lane Waters, Park Tudor School

Through educator grants and collegiate scholarships, the FORUM Foundation continues to give back to our community in a way that impacts and supports the advancement of our youth.  Applications for next year’s educator grants will open in April of 2018.
