Foundation Announces 2019-2020 Educator Grant Recipients

FORUM Credit Union is pleased to announce that the FORUM Foundation has awarded $24,938 to 18 educators throughout central Indiana for the 2019-2020 school year.
 
The Foundation was established in 2014 to ElaineOldham.jpgstrengthen the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through both collegiate scholarships and educator grants. Grants may be used for any direct classroom expenses, including, but not limited to, supplies needed to fund a project for the classroom, basic supplies the classroom may be lacking, supplemental items to enhance classroom learning, or an experience to enhance classroom learning.

Since 2014, the FORUM Foundation has awarded over $150,000 in grants to more than 80 schools throughout central Indiana, helping nearly 30,000 students.  This year, the Foundation received applications from 126 educators requesting over $200,000 for educational tools from several disciplines including STEM, literacy, art, music, and physical education. 

The recipients of the 2019-2020 FORUM Foundation educator grants are: 
Katie Norton, Southeastern Elementary; Daniel Ng, Thomas Gregg School 15; Laura Gunderson, Center Grove Middle School; Sarah Gillim, Carmel High School; Jessica Smith, Lew Wallace Elementary; Brett Hawkins, Abraham Lincoln Elementary; Elaine Oldham, Washington Woods Elementary (pictured); Norman Leonard, Pike High School; Amy Mohl, Speedway High School; Melanie Nobbe, New Palestine Junior High; Lisa Thresh, Pleasant Run Elementary; Amanda Kammer, Franklin Township Middle West; Erin Stevens, JB Stephens Elementary; David Nelson, Indian Creek Elementary; Kay Schrage, Stony Creek Elementary; Lindsey Bradshaw, HSE Intermediate Junior High; Miranda Vaiagae, Southwest Elementary; Sheryl Niccum, Guerin High School.
